
ABOUT SARSO
The South Asian Regional Standards Organization (SARSO) is a Specialized Body of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and Regional Standards Organization of South Asia. SARSO was established on 25 August 2011 after ratification of Agreement on the establishment of South Asian Regional Standards Organization (SARSO) by all Member States of SAARC.
SARSO has its Secretariat in Dhaka, Bangladesh and commenced its operations with effect from 03 April 2014.
Our Mission
SARSO has been established to achieve and enhance coordination and cooperation among SAARC member countries in the fields of standardization and conformity assessment. It is aimed at developing harmonized standards for the region to facilitate intra-regional trade and to have access in the global market.
